Fortnite Spider-Man skins: Green Goblin rumours and Web-Shooters nerfed
Fortnite has nabbed itself a web-slinger! Here's how to get the MCU Spidey skins and the mythic Web-Shooters.
The Spider-Man content in Fortnite doesn't seem to have run out of steam just yet! Although Epic Games has decided to 'nerf' the mythic Web-Shooters in competitive playlists, rumours suggest that Spidey fans could have something new to enjoy soon in the shape of some Green Goblin content and a skin to match.
The Spider-Man Fortnite crossover began in early December with two comics-inspired skins being available in the Fortnite Chapter 3 Battle Pass, with a flurry of Spider-Man: No Way Home outfits being added later in December to mark the arrival of that multiverse-smashing movie into cinemas.
And now, it looks like Epic Games will be ramping up the Spidey activity before the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 start date arrives. Read on to learn more!
When does the Green Goblin skin arrive in Fortnite?
That's a good question. Thanks to a number of apparent leaks, which appeared on Twitter before being rounded up by Gamepur and various other outlets, it looks like the Green Goblin will be coming to Fortnite as part of an upcoming update. However, Epic Games has not risen to the rumours, refusing to reveal an official Green Goblin Fortnite release date for fans to look forward to. If and when a date is confirmed, though, we'll be sure to update this article accordingly.
It sounds like ol' Gobby will be bringing his iconic Glider and Pumpkin Bombs with him, as well as a special Pumpkin Pick Axe melee weapon. Rumour has it there will even be an 'Arm the Pumpkin!' emote for players to use. If the leaks prove to be accurate, the image below may well provide your first look at Fortnite's Green Goblin skin while we wait for more information to arrive.
Have the Web-Shooters been nerfed in Fortnite?
Epic Games announced with an official blog post on 25th January, "In our v19.20 patch next week, we will be adjusting Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters to have 20 shots instead of 80 in competitive playlists."
This is something of a 'nerf' for the Web-Shooters, a term that refers to a popular item being made slightly less powerful and useful. Epic has said: "This lower count encourages players to make more strategic decisions about when to use the item, while retaining the item’s usefulness as a powerful mobility tool."
It's worth noting that the Fortnite Web-Shooters nerf only applies in competitive playlists, so it won't stop you from swinging in the game's more casual modes.

Where to find the Spider-Man mythic Web-Shooters in Fortnite
The Spider-Man mythic Web-Shooters are available in Fortnite now, and you'll find them stashed around the Fortnite map in a number of locations. They are hidden in webbed-up backpacks that are stowed around the place, drawing to mind a certain collection of collectibles from the Spider-Man PS4 game.
Fortnite content creator HYPEX has made this handy map to show you where the backpacks can be found. So if you're struggling to find the Spider-Man mythic Web-Shooters in Fortnite, this is where you'll want to look:
All the Spider-Man skins you can unlock or buy in Fortnite
When Fortnite Chapter 3 first launched earlier this month, two skins were revealed for Spider-Man. First up was the traditional red and blue Spider-Man suit which you can see below!
The second Spidey suit that was available at the launch of Fortnite Chapter 3 was the Symbiote Suit Spider-Man, a cool dark alternative to the look we all know and love. Take a look here:
Epic Games did promise there would be further Spider-Man content in Fortnite, following on from those two Battle Pass suits, and they weren't lying!
On the morning of 17th December 2021, some more Spidey-inspired suits (pictured below) were added to the Fortnite Item Shop. As you can see in the image, there were red and black variants of the Spider-Man: No Way Home suit, and there was also an MJ outfit.
However, these Spider-Man: No Way Home Fortnite skins were removed from the Fortnite Item Shop on 6th January 2022, so you cannot buy them at the moment. We'll be sure to let you know if they return to the Item Shop at any point.
Plus, we'll keep this list updated when we get word on what the next Spider-Man skin will be - here's hoping we get Spider-Ham!

How to get all the Spider-Man outfits in Fortnite Chapter 3
To unlock the Battle Pass Spider-Man outfits in Fortnite (the costumes that came before the No Way Home ones), you will need to spend quite a few hours playing the game. You will also need to buy the current Battle Pass for 950 V-Bucks.
The traditional red and blue Spider-Man outfit is on page eight of this season's Battle Pass, and the black suit Spider-Man is on page nine - if you want those suits, you'll have to earn them!
When you get to the right bit of the Battle Pass, the red and blue suit will set you back nine Battle Stars, but the black and white Symbiote Suit is a bargain at just eight Battle Stars.
You will need to make sure you have reached Level 80 before you can dress as the friendly neighbourhood superhero in those Battle Pass skins. Time to get to work, then!
